Biography

 

Thirty-five years ago I realized that designing was my true passion.  I LOVE IT! After graduating from college and moving 12 times in 2 years, I was finally able to start my design business.   I have lived in Norman, Oklahoma for 41 years with my husband and raised my children here.  I grew up in a home where my mother was always "creating". Every day she could be seen either sewing or painting. I learned to appreciate fabrics, paint, and furniture, as well as stretching a budget to get the desired look.  I am very blessed to be a part of making houses become homes with my clients.

 

Philosophy

 

To begin each project, I sit down with my clients to discuss how they want their space to feel and function.  The best designs are the result of a collaborative approach working along side the home owners, architects, builders and craftsmen as part of a design team.  I guide clients through the process of selecting finishes, plumbing, lighting, hardware and more.  We use different ideas throughout the design process, whether it may be an idea off Pinterest or the good old way of thumbing through magazines. I believe its all the little details that define our homes and make them our own.  My aim is to create a home that reflects the lives of the people that live there.
